Cat Shirt, Orange Cat Tshirt
Could this request be due to the rarity of KC home games against the Chicago Bears? If they don’t play them at home this season, the Bears may not play in Kansas City until 2031. The Chiefs and Bears don’t have a rivalry, but considering Chicago’s significance as a Midwestern city, that game might be of interest to Chiefs fans who may have friends and family who are Bear fans. Coming off a second Super Bowl win has to be the best ticket sales environment ever for the Chiefs. They don’t need any opponent to sell tickets this season. And the revenue they’d earn from a game in Europe would probably be much higher than whatever they earn playing at home. There can’t be any other logic in why they’d want to save this game against the team that had the worst record last season.

Same. I understand where you are coming from. I’m not denigrating the Cat Shirt, Orange Cat Tshirt of Black America at all. However I just personally don’t think reparations is the answer. America is a country of freedom bound by laws. In other instances of reparations the government was proven to have broken the law. Such as the Japanese Internment camps. I’d much rather see that money used and applied towards better ways to uplift the black community- specifically to any race just to people that do not have the necessary means to help themselves. Which I guess in a sense is reparations but it would help uplift in areas that would make the most impact because it is more often then not the black community that is impoverished. The only argument I hear spoken of that makes sense for reparations is that black folk are more likely to be poor. That is 100% accurate due to less opportunity. So by helping the poor in our country we don’t make it about race but that still specifically helps lift people up from where they are. Billions spent on College Scholarships approved for people who’s family income is below 60k. This would help give an opportunity to many African Americans who are languishing in poverty. Increased Small business loans for people from disadvantaged families and communities. Post college job placement firms specifically for people who have been identified as coming from a disadvantaged background (not race specifically but poverty level, high school ranking etc). I’m no fan of Trump (I am more of an old school conservative) but his platinum plan for job creation had some good ideas in it to get jobs shifted to lower income communities. HR training for our police forces to be able to work with empathy. In the end I just think race based public policies only create a huge issue in racial relations in the US but almost everyone agrees that the truly poor need help and all people can see that the black community is more stricken by poverty then any other so this would be a net net win.
