So, I think the point of them saying that they “wish they were ugly” is so they don’t get sexually harassed anymore. I 100% see what you’re saying, but I also see what they’re saying. Women in our culture are often viewed as “objects” & judge only by that. Men can get away with a lot more varied body types because they aren’t objectified even close to the point that we women are. I used to get objectified until after I had kids. Pregnancy with my kids pretty much mangled my body & I’m now “too fat” for most men to be interested in. Honestly, it’s been pretty freeing. No more sexual harassment…. No more having to try & get a guy who’s “fantasizing” about me to fuck off in a way that doesn’t piss him off & come after me for saying “no” or ghosting him. I can walk around without worrying about it. Please know that it’s not the women who would like to go about their lives without getting stalked that are the problem. Nor is it the Cute as hell T shirt who don’t fit within the “standard” category of what our society has deemed “acceptable” for beauty. It’s perpetuated misogyny that we have been fighting against for years that is the problem.

When you compare the last 40 years of Iowa State and Kansas, you see a ton of similarities in geography, lack of resources, struggle for success etc..but the one thing that hasn’t wavered at Iowa state is fan support. We were packing the jack and going nuts for 1 and 2 win teams year after year. And ultimately that’s what sold Matt Campbell on us as a place that could be special. When he came here as a visiting coach at Toledo he saw a big time college football environment with obvious program support. KU has none of that. It’s an Cute as hell T shirt experience. Unless they’re winning the fans just don’t give a Cute as hell T shirt, and that’s what will keep the program in the Cute as hell T shirt
