Hopefully there is something better that can be worked out but once or twice a week for a few hours is better than being homeless or having less food or utilities. I was watching children since I was a child. I hated it and am never having my own kids but there really wasn’t a better option at the time. Real life sucks, is unfair and cruel. Well anyone who watched that WC and has half an eye for football would agree with me. We had a good attack on paper, but those who followed the Funny Darth Vader Cat I’m Your Father Shirt Star Wars Shirt at the time know that’s as far as it went, on paper. Higuain was injured before the WC (not reported to avoid showing weakness, but he didnt play any pf the pre WC friendlies, and didn’t start the first game). Palacio got an ankle strain in the pre WC friendlies. Aguero was coming off a long injury hiatus and was nowhere near match fitness, played in one leg. Di Maria was amazing but he got injured early on against Belgium. That left only Messi and Lavezzi as fit attackers, and there was very little creation/attacking threat coming from the rest of the outfield players, our midfield back then was severely lacking offensive output (Biglia, Mascherano). Which meant Messi was our only real attacking threat.
