Like, we should absolutely support people who chose to do those of their own free will, but trying to push them into one of those decisions is just begging for emotional damage and resentment later on. Also, of course the barren comment was phrased in the most asshole way possible, but it is entirely accurate that someone will feel very differently towards a wanted pregnancy vs someone with an unwanted pregnancy. It doesn’t matter how pro-choice someone can be in their politics, if they want a pregnancy, they will feel plenty of emotional attachment to that clump of cells.
