I’m what some people would consider “unconventionally attractive”, but it’s a pretty even 50/50 split of people who find me ugly or not. As a result I got the worst of both worlds. I have terribly low self esteem from the bullying and always get anxious around men because I never know if they are going to harass me for being ugly or relentlessly hit on me. People are more willing to interact with me, reward my comments, and are less likely to argue with me — even on the extremely technical IT subreddits.
