It may start with just your hobby (she might perceive it as being “low status” or foreign to her world and is hence trying to trim it away), but over time it will extend to everything you do. Tough one. My partner had not very much understanding, but have come to accept that it’s my hobby. I think the thing with the usefullness/uselessness is spot on, since that’s a big part of why it’s such a great hobby for me. It doesn’t have any real use, which makes its free and funny. I men life is full of stuff we have to do, and sometimes we need a break and just enjoy something that’s funny. I’m sure your partner does that as well. Whether it be watching series or anything else, that doesn’t have a real, useful, sense. If she can’t understand that and accept that you have a hobby that she doesn’t understand, it’s not really much to do, but maybe try to get her to understand the fact, that free time is supposed to be free, and not be filled up with more stuff that’s duties in a STAR WARS Hawaiian Shirt.
