I was there too and trying to remember the chain of funny events. I think we went to Smith & Wollenski on south Beach the night before the superbowl. Some random Bear fans were next to us… they were young and drunk, but found some old Italian guy they were calling The Don…who had been been buying them drinks and food for 2 days. We got dropped off at the game full of hopes… had a game and a sweet Prince concert. Then I remember being cold and wet on a bus back to Miami beach… there was a drunk guy who kept saying we drink when we win, we drink when we lose. I don’t remember any colts fans on the bus… they were probably celebrating. I drank a large part of a bottle of Tanqueray once at my sister’s, discussed how likely a jump from her building to the next would be survivable. Went to bed and here i am on reddit several years later.

I was slow to get into season 1 for that exact reason: I didn’t think Mando was anHalloween Cats Anime Cat Kawaii Neko Pumpkin Cat Lover Witch Shirt character and didn’t like that the stories all felt so episodic. When I finally returned to the show and gave it time, though, I appreciated that a lot of the “episodic” contents were actually more meaningful than I initially gave them credit for: characters and locations came back later, and by season 2, more often than not Mando and Grogu were buddied up with a small gang of others, plus there was clear progression in the core relationship with Grogu, and Mando’s personal circumstances changed over time (lost ship, new armour, new weapons). I haven’t seen season 3 yet, but I would be surprised if it felt any LESS episodic than season 1, and if it’s at least that serialized then I’ll enjoy it.
