Almost everything happening on S3 has an impact on the main quest. I guess I would count the droid episode but they still managed to progress in the main quest at the end of it. Do they actually watch the same thing as you or they have an app that tell them to say random sentences about Star Wars just like in this episode of IT Crowd with football ? That said, the side-quests episodes are not necessarily something bad at all. I only disliked one Mando episode (the prison one) on first watch just to like it on second watch.
