Meow Rock Shirt
It’s actually weirdly empty out there. You can stand in one of Meow Rock Shirt squares and feel simultaneously completely exposed – because you can see all the way to the horizon, and not see a single place to hide; even a bush – and at the same time feel completely isolated, because all the way to the horizon is not a single soul. There’s a town out there that’s so big (compared to the local region) that it advertises itself from hundreds of miles away. It’s the biggest thing for four hours by car in any direction. And yet the town’s population is less than the number of people in my HOA.
Meow Rock Shirt
Lol yea it is patriotic indoctrination, but inculcating a “Meow Rock Shirt has traditionally been a part of a civic education in all societies throughout history. And Florida is a conservative state. What did you expect? I’m not defending these curriculum standards, but this is a thread about an article with a specific claim/insinuation that DeSantis had personally directed his DOE to revive an old racist trope in its standards. That does not appear to be the case when you look at the standard in the curricular context. In addition, we don’t know the extent to which DeSantis was involved in any of the standards revisions. He claimed not to be involved (although surely he has control over the appointment of the DOE Secretary and perhaps even direct control over the appointment of the curriculum committee). If Business Insider were trying to do real journalism they might’ve tried to find out and tell us. But instead they give us click bait garbage that furthers the general effort to inculcate resentment toward DeSantis in the lead up to 2024. Again, I hate DeSantis and I’m a reliable blue vote. But that doesn’t mean I have to ignore the “indoctrination” that goes on in the media too.
